This project concerns an existing two-storey house of the 80’s, influenced by the modern movement in Greece, with courtyard, roof and basement.
Its orientation is southern and is located on Pani’s hill, with the neighboring buildings maintaining a low height so that the sea is visible from the upper floor.
The owner’s wish is the renovation and restoration of the existing shell, the redefinition of the floor plan and at the same time the respect for the modern character of the house. In an effort to preserve most of the interior walls, the interior is redesigned with a large living room on the ground floor, a kitchen with dining area and storage spaces at the entrance, as well as a maid’s room – office and wc.
On the first floor two children’s bedrooms with full bathroom are located on the north side, a small living room on the south and a master bedroom with room – wardrobe and full private bathroom. The life on the floor is connected with south-facing terrace overlooking the garden.
An outdoor pool is provided, as well as an outdoor seating area with pool access and a barbeque area. The enclosure and the entrance are redesigned to offer privacy to the pool area. At the same time, a metal canopy with wooden blinds is proposed, which in turn offers suitable shading both inside and in the semi-outdoor space that is formed for the smooth connection of the living room and the garden.
