APARTMENT BUILDING IN VOULA
With a building program with a variety of apartments and requirements, an apartment building was designed that tries to meet the modern needs of tenants of various situations in the southern suburbs.
The main request of the client was the creation of a variety of spaces and apartments that are addressed mainly to families. Driven by his disappointment by the typical floors of apartment buildings in Athens, he inspired the design of four apartments with different qualities from each other.
The ground floor hosts a house of three spacious bedrooms, with an office that extends to the ground floor level and a loft, while a two-storey space has been designed in the dining room and living room. The house on the ground floor is a total of 177 sq.m. and the loft design offers a visual comfort above. At the same time, the two-storey glass facade allows the sun to enter and illuminate the interior more than adequately. The private garden of the apartment certainly raises its essential value, as it allows the supervision of the street from a higher level.
The first floor houses a three bedroom apartment, with a master bedroom and two smaller bedrooms. The second floor in combination with the attic level house a bright apartment with very comfortable spaces and 3 master bedrooms with full bathrooms, living room, kitchen and office.
The orientation of the building is South, and it is a very favorable orientation for both ventilation and proper sunbathing of the interior. The spacious balconies and semi-outdoor spaces ensure adequate relaxation of the apartments while adding to their value. Special attention has been paid during the processing of the facades in order to ensure the harmonious relationship between the gaps, the full and the protrusions of the building. This is actively contributed by the architectural protrusions, which have been designed to function aesthetically throughout the building and not on the individual floor.
